PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST - Tupelo, MS 

Join the FXI team

Basic Function: Produce drawings using AutoCAD and SolidWorks.  Provide Product Development and costing support to production, engineering, sales, customers, and other facilities.  Ensure correct customer specifications are communicated to production.

Specific responsibilities include: 

  • Develop new production methods to increase productivity, yield, and reduce cost.
  • Scheduling of contour parts using the fabrication nesting software (WinCAP).
  • Assist other facilities with programming and costing needs.
  • Assist production in problem solving and improving efficiencies.
  • Develop and design new parts per customer’s request.
  • Demonstrate accurate parts costing and be proficient with the costing system and methods
  • Create, modify, and maintain plant layouts and mechanical drawing for entire facility.
  • Create and maintain accurate BOMs and Routings in SAP.

Job Requirements:

  • Associate Degree or 3 – 5 years of experience in related field.
  • Must be a motivated individual who works well both with a team and independently,
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, AutoCAD – 2D Drawing
  • Communicate well in English with effective and legible writing skills
  • Furniture industry knowledge a plus
  • Hands on experience with Lean Manufacturing including VSM, Time Study, 6S, Standard Work a plus
