Maintenance Electrician

Tier 3 maintenance employees support plant maintenance and have an advanced skill set in both maintenance of industrial equipment and as an electrician.  Advance skills in preventive maintenance, trouble shooting, design and installation of complex systems.  Tier 3 Maintenance employees are assigned work based on their skill level and nature of the pending priority work.


  • Follow all applicable safety/housekeeping guidelines, including LOTO procedures.
  • Read and follow all Standard Operating Procedures and work orders to meet or exceed the Quality Systems Regulation (QSR).
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and mechanical equipment such as air compressors, chemical pumps and piping, hydraulic power units, conveyors, boilers, and various specialty equipment used in the Orange facility.  Must be able to diagnose to component level.
  • Performs preventative maintenance and utilizes CMMS systems to open, print, close work orders and PM forms.
  • Able to accurately order parts from suppliers and OEM with efficiently to properly repair all aspects of equipment.
  • Proficient with computer software (Word, Excel, Outlook CMMS).  AutoCAD a plus.
  • Perform a variety of electrical functions such as installation of motors and drives, power supplies, efficiency bend conduit, ability to read and understand electrical drawing and ladder logic, understanding of the NEC code and troubleshoot PLCs, and familiarity with NFPA-7OE.
  • Direct lower classification maintenance help as needed.
  • Follow all appropriate FXI SOP/JHAs
  • Keep work area neat and clean
  • Perform other duties as directed by supervisor
  • May require coming in to provide emergency service
  • Must be proficient in using a laptop and software to diagnose PCL and electronic components.


  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Knowledge of PLC – hard wiring and programming
  • Work with high voltages and around moving equipment.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs. from floor, bend, twist, climb, crawl and able to work at heights.
  • Communicate in English; bi-lingual in Spanish preferred
  • Attention to details and good math skills required.
  • Pass post offer drug screen and physical.
  • Must have minimum 4 years experience as a maintenance  electrician
  • Previous Manufacturing Experience Preferred
  • Journeyman Card preferred
